Kylie Jenner Turns the VS Show Into a YouTube Event
Kylie Jenner wore Victoria’s Secret’s $50 million Fantasy Bra in Los Angeles as the 2026 show moved fully onto YouTube, with Hollywood filling the front row.
Kylie Jenner made her Victoria’s Secret runway debut on October 18, 2026, in a $50 million Fantasy Bra, as the show streamed free from Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City. Timothée Chalamet and Kris Jenner watched from the front row while Megan Thee Stallion was still onstage. The clip, not the lingerie, is what the night was built to move.
Adam Selman, the brand’s chief creative officer, had already named the brief. He wanted “fandomonium.” He put the most expensive Fantasy Bra the company has ever staged on a beauty founder with 380 million Instagram followers, then handed the whole hour to YouTube.
Kylie Jenner Wore the $50 Million Fantasy Bra
Jenner, 29, came out in white feathered wings, a gauzy mini skirt, and clear heels. The object on her chest was the first Fantasy Bra on this runway since 2018. Jacob Arabo of Jacob & Co. built it as jewelry that had to walk, with no fabric at all, only gold and diamonds fitted to her measurements.
The piece carries 4,410 natural diamonds around a 75.54-carat Fancy Vivid yellow center stone. Fifteen people spent more than 1,000 hours on it. Finished, it weighs just under four pounds. Selman said the bra was the request that kept coming back after last year’s show, so the company answered with excess on purpose.
A big idea for the show was fandomonium. And the Fantasy Bra was one of the things that was requested the most from last year’s show. So we thought, OK, how do we do this in a really fun, excessive way? Because that’s what it is: a truly excessive piece of jewelry and artistry. It’s almost museum quality.
Adam Selman, chief creative officer, Victoria’s Secret
Arabo said he wanted the most expensive Fantasy Bra ever made, then added that price was not the point if the stones did not move with the body. The house later posted the build in public: 3,218 components and 4,410 diamonds, with the 4,409 stones around the center totaling 1,373 carats, including the firm’s Angel-Cut. Victoria’s Secret’s own notes put the work at 15 artisans and more than 1,000 hours.
Selman called Jenner a cultural powerhouse who sits past fashion, television, and any one lane, which is how he now describes the show itself. That is a different job than crowning an Angel. Elsa Hosk, who wore the last Fantasy Bra in 2018, was back on the same runway. So were Adriana Lima, Candice Swanepoel, and Alessandra Ambrosio. None of them got the $50 million one.
FANTASY BRA PRICE TAGS
| Year | Worn by | Stated value |
|---|---|---|
| 1996 | Claudia Schiffer (campaign) | $1 million |
| 2000 | Gisele Bündchen | $15 million |
| 2018 | Elsa Hosk | $1 million |
| 2026 | Kylie Jenner | $50 million |
The $50 million figure is about $35 million above Bündchen’s 2000 Red Hot Fantasy Bra, which had been the record. Hosk’s 2018 Atelier Swarovski version was listed at $1 million, the same opening price as Schiffer’s 1996 campaign bra. The 2026 walk is not a small step up the old ladder. It is a different bet on who the camera is for.
That bet split the audience in the usual way. People who still treat the Fantasy Bra as a prize for career models saw a celebrity shortcut. People who treat the show as pop television saw the only casting that would make a jewelry stunt travel overnight. Both readings can be true at once. Selman was not confused about which one he was buying.
A Free YouTube Stream Replaced Network TV
The show went out live at 4:30 p.m. PT, 7:30 p.m. ET, on the official Victoria’s Secret YouTube channel. YouTube’s own guide told viewers they could watch the show live for free on YouTube, shop tagged looks, and try a branded Angel Wings effect in Shorts. Creators got exclusive shopping hours the next day. The old CBS and ABC special is gone. In its place is a store with a runway attached.
By the morning of October 19, the official stream had passed 17 million views, on a channel with 5.2 million subscribers. That is not a Nielsen rating, and it is not a clean win over the 10.3 million who watched in 2011. It is a different machine. A free video keeps counting after midnight, and last year’s YouTube cut is already at 43 million views.
HOW THE AUDIENCE MOVED
- 2001 broadcast: About 12 million viewers when the show became a network television event.
- 2011 peak: 10.3 million, still the high-water mark of the later TV years.
- 2018 finale: About 3.3 million, the smallest audience of the broadcast era.
- 2026 YouTube cut: More than 17 million views on the official stream within a day, with the 2025 VOD already at 43 million.
The comparison only works if you keep the units honest. Live TV was a one-night sample. YouTube is a pile of replays, clips, and shopping tags. Victoria’s Secret does not need the pile to look like 2011. It needs Jenner’s walk to be the clip people send, then a path to shop looks from the runway before the sparkle cools.
Select AMC theaters also played the show, and a TikTok Live after-party was timed for 8:45 p.m. ET. The center of gravity was still the free stream. That is the second-order change from the red carpet photos. The carpet is bait. YouTube is the product.
The Pink Carpet Looked Like Awards Night
Nicole Kidman sat with Vanessa Bryant in a white shirt, a striped tie, and a skirt cut with lingerie hardware. Bryant was there because her daughter Natalia Bryant was about to walk. Kidman was there as Hollywood proof that a lingerie show can now look like a premiere. Maria Shriver arrived with Patrick Schwarzenegger. Law Roach, Tan France, LaQuan Smith, and Selman himself filled out the fashion side of the same row.
WHO SAT WHERE IT COUNTED
- Nicole Kidman and Vanessa Bryant: Shared a row while Natalia Bryant made her runway debut.
- Timothée Chalamet and Kris Jenner: On their feet for Jenner’s Fantasy Bra walk, with Corey Gamble in the same party.
- Dylan Sprouse: Standing and cheering for Barbara Palvin, six weeks after the birth of their daughter.
- Maria Shriver and Patrick Schwarzenegger: A family ticket that would have looked odd at the old Angels show and looks normal now.
- Law Roach, Tan France, LaQuan Smith: Stylists and designers treating the night as industry, not a boys’ special.
Tate McRae, Megan Thee Stallion, Megan Moroney, and four members of KATSEYE worked the carpet on the way to the stage. Tinashe, Lisa Rinna, Victoria Monét, Romy Mars, and Alton Mason added the rest of the flash. At the final bow, Chalamet, Kidman, and Tinashe were the faces the cameras found in the applause.
Last year’s front row had already started this turn, with Sarah Jessica Parker, Chloë Sevigny, and Jeremy Pope in New York. Los Angeles pushed it further. The guest list is doing brand-rehab work the wings cannot do alone. A lingerie show that can seat Kidman next to Bryant is a show that wants to be seen as culture, not as a catalog.
A Contest Winner Walked Beside Adriana Lima
Selman was blunt about the mix. “This is not a heritage show,” he said a week before the event. “We’re trying to thread the needle between the old and the new.” Bella Hadid opened. Gigi Hadid walked the summer section in paillette-fringe wings after fashion month in Paris. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley came back after 16 years. Behati Prinsloo, Doutzen Kroes, Irina Shayk, Joan Smalls, and Liu Wen filled the veteran file.
The new file was the point. Solange Omon, winner of the YouTube series Angels Among Us, walked with a contract from IMG Models after a nationwide search that invited 1,200 women. Selman, Paloma Elsesser, Gigi Hadid, and Ashley Graham appeared in the series, which runs seven episodes, with a finale dated November 22. Omon’s walk is the casting version of the Jenner bra. The audience votes with views, then the winner gets the wings.
Natalia Bryant’s debut sat in that same lane, a famous surname doing the work an old Angel title used to do. Trinity Rodman and Quenlin Blackwell took the Pink halftime in ready-to-wear rather than in the classic fantasy kits. Alex Consani, Anok Yai, Precious Lee, Paloma Elsesser, and Ashley Graham kept the broader cast the revival has used since 2024. The needle Selman described is real. So is the cost. The Fantasy Bra went to the famous newcomer, not to the women who had been the brand’s face for twenty years.
Barbara Palvin, 33, walked in sheer pink six weeks after giving birth to her daughter Sylvie with Dylan Sprouse. The baby arrived on September 7. Palvin, who first walked this show in 2012 at 19, treated the timing as ordinary American leave, not as a stunt.
I tell everyone: This is normal. Maternity leave is six to eight weeks; I’m six weeks tomorrow, so I’m just doing what everyone else is doing. And I only need to walk down a runway!
Barbara Palvin, backstage, October 18, 2026
Sprouse had already posted that she was “built different.” Palvin’s sixth VS appearance is the version of “new” that still belongs to a working model. Jenner’s bra is the version that belongs to a platform. The show now needs both, and it does not pretend they are the same kind of fame.
Four Acts Held the Runway Clock
The hour ran on four live sets, all women, after Lisa in 2024 and Karol G in 2025. Megan Moroney opened in giant pink fluffy wings with “6 Months Later” and “Wish I Didn’t.” Tate McRae, 23, debuted “Housewife” in red lingerie, then went into “Dear God” and “Sports Car,” and walked the summer section with the models. KATSEYE took Pink. Megan Thee Stallion closed in metallic wings with “Her” and “Body.”
THE LIVE SET LIST
| Act | Slot | Songs on the night |
|---|---|---|
| Megan Moroney | Opener | “6 Months Later,” “Wish I Didn’t” |
| Tate McRae | Summer section | “Housewife,” “Dear God,” “Sports Car” |
| KATSEYE | Pink halftime | “Pinky Up,” “Animal” |
| Megan Thee Stallion | Close | “Her,” “Body” |
Only four of KATSEYE’s six members performed: Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, Megan Skiendiel, and Yoonchae Jeong. Manon Bannerman and Sophia Laforteza were out on hiatus. The four came off the stands in pop-punk corsets and miniskirts, used a “Pink Cam,” and left under a “Pink Class of 2026” drop. They told the carpet one of the missing two would be back soon.
Megan Thee Stallion had said on X that the booking filled a lifelong dream. She did not perform her new “Tina Tuesday Freestyle.” She still got the night’s biggest cue, because Jenner’s Fantasy Bra walked during her set. McRae got the new-single window. Moroney got country radio. The music was not a sidebar. It was the clock the models had to hit, and the reason a YouTube viewer who does not buy bras still stays through winter furs and vintage slip-dress reissues.
Selman built the clothes as a year in miniature. Spring was desire, summer was heat, autumn was romance with lace wings, winter came in two passages of fur and silver. A vintage Victoria break brought back slip dresses he said collectors still hunt. Pink sat in the middle as a youth brand, not as an afterthought. The structure is television variety, not a designer collection. That is why the performers had to be the kind of famous that works in a 57-minute stream.
Why the Show Left Television in 2019
Los Angeles last hosted in 2007, at the Kodak Theatre, with will.i.am and Seal. Selman sold the 19-year gap with a grin: “It’s the city of angels. It just felt right.” The longer gap that still hangs over the night is the one that started in 2019, when the company killed the broadcast special after ratings and sales had both slid.
FROM CANCELLATION TO CULVER CITY
- November 2019: L Brands cancels the show. CFO Stuart Burgdoerfer says the company needs to “evolve the marketing of Victoria’s Secret,” and notes the broadcast did not move next-day sales in a material way.
- 2018: The last TV edition draws about 3.3 million viewers, down from 10.3 million in 2011 and about 12 million when the special took off in 2001.
- 2023: A poorly received Amazon Prime film, Victoria’s Secret: The Tour, tries a documentary workaround with Doja Cat and Sabrina Carpenter.
- October 15, 2024: The live runway returns in Brooklyn, streamed on social platforms, with a wider cast and an all-women bill of Cher, Tyla, and Lisa.
- 2025: A second New York edition adds athletes Angel Reese and Suni Lee; the YouTube cut later climbs to 43 million views.
- October 18, 2026: The show lands at Sony Pictures Studios, puts the Fantasy Bra on Jenner, and treats YouTube as home court.
The 2019 decision sat on more than ratings. Edward Razek, who had run the spectacle, resigned under pressure. Leslie Wexner’s ties to Jeffrey Epstein were public. A later investigation described a culture of bullying and harassment. Savage X Fenty had already made a more open lingerie show look current. The Angels format looked frozen.
The 2024 return tried to unfreeze it with size, race, and trans models in the same winged frame. The 2026 edition keeps that mix, then adds a YouTube talent search and a celebrity Fantasy Bra. Burgdoerfer’s old point still hovers. The show was always a brand-building stunt more than a same-week sales spike. The stunt now has to work in a For You feed. Jenner in $50 million of diamonds is the feed version of what Gisele in a $15 million bra used to be on CBS, except the metric is shares, not overnight household ratings.
On the last lap, the models came back through a thawing winter set and bowed. Chalamet, Kidman, and Tinashe clapped them out. The official video stayed up for anyone who missed 7:30 p.m. That is the whole conversion in one picture: a Hollywood row, a beauty mogul in the sacred bra, and a free replay that will still be counting next month.
Frequently Asked Questions
Who designed the 2026 Victoria’s Secret Fantasy Bra?
Jacob Arabo of Jacob & Co. designed it as a no-fabric gold-and-diamond construction inspired by the house’s Rare Touch jewelry, using seven stone cuts and four setting methods so the cups could flex like lingerie. The center Fancy Vivid yellow diamond is 75.54 carats, and the bra was fitted from Jenner’s exact measurements with repeated on-body adjustments.
Where can you rewatch the 2026 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show?
The full official cut remains on the Victoria’s Secret YouTube channel as a 57-minute on-demand video, and the brand also pushed the night through its Instagram and TikTok live channels. YouTube’s guide added shoppable product tags inside related videos and a VS Angel Wings effect for Shorts, so the replay is built to sell as well as to archive.
When did Victoria’s Secret last hold the fashion show in Los Angeles?
The last Los Angeles edition was in 2007 at the Kodak Theatre, 19 years before the Sony Pictures Studios date. The 2024 and 2025 revivals were both in New York, which means the 2026 move is a calendar homecoming, not a return to the old network-TV production model that used to tour Paris and Shanghai.
What is Angels Among Us in the 2026 show?
Angels Among Us is a seven-episode YouTube docuseries that followed regional castings down to three finalists, with the winner, Solange Omon, revealed on the October 18 runway and signed to IMG Models. Episodes began on September 27 and were slated to continue on Sundays and Thursdays, with a closing episode dated November 22, after the live show.
Did Victoria’s Secret sell a version of the Fantasy Bra after the show?
The $50 million Jacob & Co. piece is a one-off. The company did put a limited Very Sexy Shine Fantasy Bra on sale, billed as inspired by the runway design, in select stores and in the Shop the Show assortment, which is the commercial shadow of a bra that will never hit a register at its stated jewelry value.
