One address, read by editors
IAQABA has a single public address: support@iaqaba.com. There is no separate newsroom line, press office, advertising desk or legal mailbox. Everything arrives in one place and is sorted by the people who edit the site, not by an outsourced help desk. We chose one address so that nothing you send can fall between departments.
Because one inbox serves every purpose, the subject line does a lot of work. Start it with the word that describes your message: CORRECTION, TIP, CONFIDENTIAL, PRESS, ADVERTISING, PRIVACY, LEGAL or COPYRIGHT. Messages that use those labels are routed in minutes; messages that do not are still read, just later in the day.
Corrections and complaints about coverage
If a story is wrong, tell us. Include the link, the sentence or figure you believe is incorrect, and what you believe the right version is. If you have a document, a match record, a filing or a screenshot that shows the error, attach it. A correction request with evidence is acted on the same day where possible; one without evidence is investigated, which takes longer. The corrections policy explains what happens next.
Complaints about tone, fairness or emphasis are handled the same way but are judged against the editorial standards rather than against a single fact. We will tell you what we decided and why. If you are the subject of a story and believe you were not given a fair chance to respond, say so plainly and we will treat it as urgent.
Tips and story leads
Tips are the most valuable mail we receive. A document, a recording, a set of figures, a first-hand account of something that has not been reported yet, from any of the ten areas we cover, is exactly what this address is for. Tell us what you have, how you came by it, and whether we may contact you with questions. You do not need to write the story for us; you only need to point.
We check every tip before we use it and we do not publish a claim on one person’s word alone. If the tip turns out to be right, we will not name you unless you have asked to be named. If it turns out to be wrong, we will tell you what we found, where we can.
Sending something confidential
If your safety, job or legal position depends on your identity staying private, say CONFIDENTIAL in the subject line and tell us in the first line what protection you need. Do not send from an account your employer controls and do not include details in the body that could identify you if the message were seen by others. We can suggest a safer channel once we know what you are dealing with.
Confidential correspondence is kept out of shared systems and is seen only by the editor handling it. We will not confirm to any third party that a message exists. If we cannot protect you to the standard you ask for, we will say so before you send anything further, so you can decide.
Press releases, pitches and review requests
Publicists, agencies, clubs, studios, manufacturers and companies are welcome to send announcements. Put PRESS in the subject line and put the actual news in the first two sentences. A release is treated as a claim by the party issuing it; it will be read, it may prompt a story, and it will never be published as it arrived. We do not confirm receipt of releases and we do not promise coverage.
We do not request review units, tickets, trips or access in exchange for coverage, and we do not accept them on those terms. If you want to offer a briefing, an interview or a document, say what conditions come with it. Anything offered on terms we would not be able to disclose to readers is declined.
Advertising
IAQABA carries display banner advertising served through the Adsterra network. We do not sell sponsored posts, native articles, links, mentions or placements of any kind, and mail proposing them receives a short no. If you want to place banner campaigns, the advertise page explains what we run and how to reach our placements through the network. Questions about that page can be sent with ADVERTISING in the subject line.
Privacy, legal and copyright requests
Requests under data protection law, such as access, correction or deletion of personal data, go to the same address with PRIVACY in the subject line. Tell us which right you are exercising and enough about yourself for us to find the data. The privacy policy explains what we hold and how long it is kept.
Copyright notices go with COPYRIGHT in the subject line and must contain the elements listed on the DMCA and copyright policy page. Legal correspondence of any other kind goes with LEGAL in the subject line. We reply to all of these in writing and we keep a record of the exchange.
What this inbox is not
It is not a place to submit articles for publication; we do not accept unsolicited contributions. It is not a customer service line for any product, company, team or service we have written about, and we cannot pass messages to them. It is not a way to reach people quoted in our stories. It is not a forum for abuse, and messages that are abusive are deleted without reply.
Response times
Corrections with evidence: usually the same day. Confidential tips: acknowledged within a day, then handled at whatever pace safety requires. Privacy and legal requests: acknowledged within a few days and completed within the period the relevant law allows. Press releases: no reply unless we have a question. Everything else: within a week where a reply is warranted. If something urgent has gone unanswered, send it again with URGENT added to the subject line.
