Galaxy S27 Screen Protectors Leave the Pro Uncut

Accessory plants have already cut Galaxy S27, S27+ and Ultra glass, while the new Pro still has no sheet in the latest packs.

Third-party Galaxy S27 series screen protectors are already in product photos, in three sizes, with the new Pro model missing from the pack. The sheets are flat, with thin borders and a camera hole at the top, and they come in clear glass and privacy tints.

Those cutters, not Samsung’s stage, are the first shops locking the 2027 flagship fronts. The three holdover phones already have molds. The Pro, the extra SKU in this lineup, still does not in the latest physical sets.

Three Pieces of Glass and One Empty Slot

On October 20, 2026, photos of labeled tempered glass for the Galaxy S27, Galaxy S27+ and Galaxy S27 Ultra moved through leak channels, including a three-pack laid side by side. E-commerce listings for third-party accessories had already used those names. The packs still skip the Galaxy S27 Pro.

Each sheet is a simple rounded rectangle. The glass is flat, which matches the expected screens, and the hole for the front camera sits on the center line near the top. Privacy versions sit in the same trays as the clear ones, so plants are cutting both finishes for the same three footprints.

Samsung is still expected to sell four main S phones, and GSMA records have already used the names Galaxy S27, Galaxy S27+, Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra. The missing fourth sheet is not a rumor that the Pro died. It is a production clue: the new phone is real enough to name, and late enough that glass sample packs still go out without it.

Accessory Factories Freeze the Front First

A screen protector is a poor place to hide a redesign. The cutter needs the outline, the corner radius, the hole and the usable glass area, and that file only pays off if the phone that ships matches it. When those sheets show up in store photography, the front is usually frozen even if cameras, chips and prices are not.

This is the same autumn ritual as the last two S generations. Tempered glass for the Galaxy S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra appeared on October 9, 2024. Sheets for the Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra circulated around November 3, 2025, and that pack is the one that showed Samsung keeping a Plus phone after talk of a Pro and an Edge. The S26 family did go to stores as those three models.

Glass plants sell into the first weekend of pre-orders. They cannot wait for Unpacked. The October 20 packs say the compact phone, the Plus and the Ultra are far enough along to cut at volume. They also say the new SKU is not in that first wave of physical samples, which is a different signal from a CAD leak or a case photo.

How Big Each Galaxy S27 Display Is

The leaked glass lines up with the display sizes already attached to each name: a 6.27-inch Galaxy S27, a 6.66-inch Galaxy S27+, a 6.89-inch Galaxy S27 Ultra, and a Galaxy S27 Pro around 6.47 inches that is still missing from the photos. Those figures sit close to the current S26 set, so the new work on these phones is not a jump in diagonal.

LEAKED S27 FRONTS AGAINST THE GLASS PACKS

Model Leaked display In the Oct 20 glass set
Galaxy S27 6.27-inch Yes
Galaxy S27+ 6.66-inch Yes
Galaxy S27 Pro about 6.47-inch No
Galaxy S27 Ultra 6.89-inch Yes

Early October listings that used artwork rather than photographed glass already placed the Pro beside the other three, with a front close to the base phone in height and a little extra width. The Plus sheet is the obvious step up. The Ultra sheet is the largest of the four, with the slightly softer corners that arrived on last year’s Ultra rather than a return to sharp ones.

None of that needs a new design language on the face. A buyer who only sees these phones from the front will read four sizes of the same family, punch-hole and all, which is exactly what a glass cutter can ship without waiting for a camera-island lecture on stage.

The Ultra Protector Also Fits Last Year’s Phone

The most pointed note on October 20 did not come from the three-pack. Tipster Ice Universe posted a single Ultra sheet and said it was for the Galaxy S27 Ultra, then added that it will most likely also fit the Galaxy S26 Ultra.

That is a stronger freeze than a similar diagonal. If a year-old Ultra protector seats on the new one, the outline, hole and edge radius have barely moved. Ice Universe had already called the front-to-front change the smallest between two Ultra phones in the company’s run, and the October 20 sheet is the physical version of that claim.

He has the S27 Ultra’s bezels at 1.28 mm, against S26 Ultra bezels at 1.32 mm, a 0.04 mm trim that will not redraw the silhouette. The camera bump is a separate argument: 4.69 mm, up from 4.5 mm, because the redesign this year is the rectangular slab on the back, not the glass the owner stares at.

People who already own an S26 Ultra can read that in a blunt way. The tempered glass on the current phone may still fit. The part that will not is the back panel, where the vertical camera pill is due to give way to a wide island. The accessory channel is pricing that in months early, which is why Ultra glass is plentiful and why nobody is cutting a wild new Ultra outline.

Why the Pro Has Cases but No Glass

The Pro is not absent from the accessory trade. Ice Universe posted cases for all four S27 models on October 18, two days before the three-pack of glass, and the camera holes split the family in two. The Galaxy S27 and Galaxy S27+ keep a vertical pill plus a separate flash cut. The Pro and Ultra cases open a wide rectangle for a horizontal island, the Ultra’s hole larger than the Pro’s.

Artwork of screen films for all four phones had already circulated on October 2, 18 days before the photographed glass. Those renders put the Pro next to the base phone and described a 6.47-inch panel. So cutters appear to have the CAD. What they had not put into the October 20 product photography is a physical Pro sheet sitting in a tray with a barcode.

WHAT ACCESSORY SAMPLES SHOW RIGHT NOW

  • Galaxy S27: Photographed clear and privacy glass, plus cases with a vertical camera pill.
  • Galaxy S27+: The same glass finishes in a larger outline, with the same vertical-pill cases.
  • Galaxy S27 Pro: Cases with the new rectangular island; no sheet in the October 20 physical packs, only earlier artwork.
  • Galaxy S27 Ultra: Photographed glass that Ice Universe says should also fit the S26 Ultra, plus the larger island cases.

That split is what a plant does when two jobs are on different clocks. A case has to clear a new camera slab, so the Pro and Ultra backs get cut as soon as the island is locked. A glass sheet only needs a front that barely moves, and the Pro’s front is the awkward extra size between 6.27 inches and 6.66 inches. The three sizes that already exist in last year’s lineup got sample glass first. The new diagonal can wait until someone is sure that 6.47-inch panel is the one that ships.

The Pro is also the price and spec puzzle of the family, sat between the Plus and the Ultra, with no S Pen in the current leaks and a camera stack that borrows the Ultra’s island without matching every lens. Plants will not want a drawer of 6.47-inch sheets if Samsung still has room to nudge that chassis. The cases can tolerate a little slop around a camera hole. A glass sheet cannot.

Privacy Film Versus Privacy Pixels

The same October 20 trays include privacy tempered glass, the tinted sheets that crush the view from the side. That product exists because Samsung already sells a panel feature that does the same job in hardware, and because plenty of buyers still buy the sticker anyway.

Samsung Display’s Flex Magic Pixel design is the in-panel version, built so the image stays clear from the front and falls off from other angles. The company published UL Privacy Display verification for Flex Magic Pixel on February 26, 2026, after UL Solutions tilted a panel at 45 and 60 degrees and spun it through a full circle.

Samsung Display’s OLED panel equipped with FMP technology recorded a side-to-front brightness ratio of 3.5% at 45 degrees and 0.9% or lower at 60 degrees.

Industry sources told The Elec in July that all four Galaxy S27 models would ship with that hardware, after it sat on the Galaxy S26 Ultra as a trial. Later Korean reporting narrowed the feature to the Pro and Ultra, and the early October accessory write-ups follow that split: Privacy Display on the two island phones, the base and Plus going without it, as they did this year.

Glass plants are not waiting for that argument to end. They are already cutting privacy film for the S27, the S27+ and the Ultra. On the Ultra that film may duplicate a panel mode the owner can toggle. On the base and Plus it may be the only narrow-angle option in the box. Either way, the accessory SKU is on sale before Samsung has finished saying which phones get the pixels.

Sigmaintell, the display tracker, put Privacy Mode phone shipments at 1 million in 2025 and 21 million in 2026, and it has 29 million in the 2027 forecast. That is the demand the film cutters are chasing with S27 trays, whether or not the Pro ever joins those packs.

January Unpacked Is Still the Working Date

The glass does not set a launch day. It does show how close the fronts are to the moment accessory sellers need stock. Samsung is aiming at a January Unpacked for the Galaxy S27 series, with February 2027 as the fallback if the calendar slips, still inside Q1 2027, and the same event is where One UI 9.5 is expected to show up in stable form.

THE OCTOBER PAPER TRAIL ON THE GLASS

  1. October 1, 2026: Ice Universe shares Galaxy S27 Ultra protector images and says the front is close enough to the S26 Ultra that the sheets should interchange.
  2. October 2, 2026: Artwork of films for all four models appears, including a Pro sheet sized near the base phone.
  3. October 15, 2026: Ice Universe puts S27 Ultra bezels at 1.28 mm and the camera bump at 4.69 mm.
  4. October 18, 2026: Photographs of cases for all four phones show the Pro and Ultra sharing a wide island cutout.
  5. October 20, 2026: Physical clear and privacy glass for the S27, S27+ and Ultra circulates; the Pro is still not in those packs, and Ice Universe repeats that the Ultra sheet should fit last year’s Ultra.

The plants that live on day-one sales already treated three of those phones as real products in October. They treated the Pro as a case problem, which means the new camera island is locked enough to cut plastic around it, and as a glass problem they can still postpone. If a 6.47-inch Pro sheet shows up in the next sample trays, that front will have joined the frozen list. Until then, the accessory line is telling a four-phone story with three pieces of glass.
