IntouchCX Adds 400 Bilingual Jobs at Its Cairo Campuses

IntouchCX is hiring over 400 bilingual Cairo staff on its Egypt anniversary, at French rates that already run double English customer-service pay.

IntouchCX opened over 400 bilingual customer service roles in Cairo on September 22, 2025. The Canadian firm said the round would nearly double its Egypt staff as it marked two years in the country.

The seats it wants are French and Spanish, the languages that already pay the most in Cairo customer service, and the hiring is still on the boards a year later.

French Seats Pay Double the English Rate

WUZZUF, the Egyptian job board, analyzed more than 100,000 customer service and call-center postings from 2015 to 2025. In 2025 alone it listed over 14,000 such jobs, which it said collectively hired over 200,000 people. Language, not tenure, set the pay.

For roles in Cairo and Giza that needed little or no English, the 2025 median was EGP 5,550 a month. Fluency in English lifted that median to EGP 13,500, 2.4 times as much. In 2021 the English premium was 1.6 times. French sat higher still.

The same study put the French median pay of EGP 27,380, about twice the English median and nearly five times the Arabic-only floor. German came in at EGP 22,500 and Spanish at EGP 23,750. C1 Spanish roles paid EGP 35,000, against EGP 25,500 at B2.

THE CAIRO LANGUAGE PAY LADDER, 2025

Language Monthly pay (EGP) What it is
Arabic-only 5,550 Cairo and Giza median
English 13,500 2025 median
German 22,500 2025 median
Spanish 23,750 2025 median
French 27,380 2025 median

English still dominates the boards, at 92% to 98% of postings. The leftover share is French, German, Spanish, and Italian, and that thin slice is where the money is. IntouchCX’s own Sheikh Zayed listing for a French bilingual customer service specialist sat at EGP 30,000 gross, a step above the 2025 French median, with B2 French and B2 English required and 0 to 2 years of experience accepted.

Cairo After Two Years on the Ground

IntouchCX announced its expansion into Egypt on October 12, 2023, from Winnipeg, and said a Cairo campus would open in the weeks that followed. It was the company’s second new country that year, after Kuala Lumpur in February. Founder and Chief Executive Officer Greg Fettes said Egypt would help the firm “accomplish speed to scale.”

Dishant Bhojwani, then chief operating officer for Asia-Pacific and Africa, pointed to a workforce that could serve over 12 languages and to “hunger for career growth in the labor market here.” At that point the company listed in-person campuses in the United States, Canada, Guatemala, Colombia, Jamaica, Honduras, Greece, India, Malaysia, and the Philippines. Egypt was the add.

On January 10, 2024, it announced the creation of more than 500 full-time jobs in Cairo. Ahmed Samir Ayoub, vice president for Africa, said the talent on the ground “made investment and expansion an easy decision.” The September 22, 2025 note, in which the company said it had opened over 400 bilingual customer service roles, is the second public hiring wave, not the first.

INTOUCHCX IN EGYPT

  1. February 2023: Opens in Kuala Lumpur, the first of two new countries that year.
  2. October 12, 2023: Announces a Cairo campus, citing a multilingual workforce and speed to scale.
  3. January 10, 2024: Pledges more than 500 full-time jobs in Cairo.
  4. November 15, 2024: Marks a first anniversary with the Cairo team on its official account.
  5. September 22, 2025: Opens over 400 bilingual roles and frames the round as a two-year mark.

The company posted that first-anniversary note itself, with photos of the Cairo floor.

By the 2025 announcement IntouchCX said it employed over 35,000 people across 25 campuses in 12 countries, and that it was founded in Canada in 2001. In the January 2024 Cairo note it had put the same global tally at more than 25,000 people across 22 locations. Ayoub, now vice president and country head of operations for Africa, called the two years in Cairo “nothing short of remarkable.”

Egypt’s Language Pipeline Is Already Tight

The Information Technology Industry Development Agency puts more than 195,000 specialists across 252 companies and 282 delivery centers, 177 of them multinational. It recorded offshoring exports to $4.8 billion in 2025, up 11.6% from $4.3 billion in 2024 and double the $2.4 billion recorded in 2022. Broader digital exports reached $7.4 billion. The agency also cites a pipeline of roughly 750,000 university graduates a year.

That scale is not the same as spare French and Spanish capacity. Hazem Hussein, general manager of offshore business at Raya CX, put the country’s pitch on those languages, not on English volume.

Egypt excels in non-English European and regional languages. The country produces massive numbers of fluent speakers in French, German, Italian, and Spanish alongside English.

Hussein also sells the clock. Egypt’s GMT+2 zone, he said, covers European hours and overlaps the U.S. East Coast. Ayman Abdullah, founder and chief executive of 5D Outsourcing, was blunter about cost. Wage levels, he said, still compete with the Philippines and India, but “Cost gets you in the door. It should not be the whole pitch.”

IntouchCX is walking through that door with a language list, not a volume list. The September 2025 drive named French and Spanish for international clients. Live ads on WUZZUF pair French with English. Spanish is in the press note; the boards we opened were French.

400 Cairo Seats Against 26,800 at Teleperformance

Over 400 new Cairo roles would still leave IntouchCX a small shop beside the exporters already on the ground. Teleperformance employs about 26,800 people in Egypt and booked €280 million in local export revenue in 2025, with €344 million projected for 2026. Concentrix employs 24,500 people across 13 centers, in as many as 13 languages, and generates nearly 99% of its local revenue from work sold abroad.

CAIRO SCALE, SIDE BY SIDE

Company Egypt staff Note
Teleperformance about 26,800 €280 million export revenue in 2025
Concentrix 24,500 13 centers, 13 languages
TTEC over 500 Plans 3,500 more by 2029
InteLogix about 135 Target 1,365 in three years
IntouchCX adding over 400 French and Spanish bilingual seats

TTEC entered Egypt in 2023, the same year as IntouchCX, and later opened in Maadi Technology Park, where IntouchCX also lists a floor. TTEC said that site already had over 500 people who could work in 11 languages, including Spanish and Dutch, and that it would add 3,500 employees by 2029 after signing a memorandum with ITIDA.

Cairo is not where IntouchCX is chasing raw seats. In July 2026 it opened a GH Tower campus in San Juan City, in the Philippines, with room for about 2,500 seats and a plan for nearly 4,000 jobs through the first quarter of 2027. The Philippines is the volume node. Cairo is the language node.

Posted French Roles Start at 30,000 EGP

The company lists two Cairo campuses, one at 20 West Mall on the 26th of July Corridor in Sheikh Zayed City, Giza, and one at Maadi Technology Park. The EGP 30,000 French specialist role was tied to 20 West Mall, with transport, paid training, medical insurance, and rotational shifts. A separate technical French track was listed at EGP 39,000 gross, still on-site at the mall, with morning shifts and a path named into quality, training, or team lead.

Hiring posts in March 2026 advertised English voice work in Maadi at EGP 21,000, above the 2025 English median and well below the French postings. WUZZUF still carried bilingual French ads in early October 2026, including a Maadi customer-service post with 25 open seats.

WHAT WE KNOW

  • The round: IntouchCX said on September 22, 2025, that it had opened over 400 bilingual customer service roles in Cairo.
  • The languages: The company named French and Spanish for international clients, and job boards show French paired with English.
  • The posted rate: A Sheikh Zayed French specialist role was listed at EGP 30,000 gross, with B2 in both French and English.

WHAT IS UNCONFIRMED

  • Current Egypt staff: The company has not published a local headcount, only that over 400 roles would nearly double it.
  • Spanish seats: Spanish is in the announcement; the open ads retrieved were French.
  • Filled versus open: Maadi listings in early October 2026 still showed dozens of French seats unfilled.

The gap between the press note and the boards is the story on the ground. French is what the campuses are buying in public. Spanish is what they say they also need.

WHAT THE FRENCH LISTINGS PROMISE

  • Standard CS pay: EGP 30,000 gross at 20 West Mall in Sheikh Zayed, B2 French and B2 English, 0 to 2 years accepted.
  • Technical track: EGP 39,000 gross for bilingual technical support on phone, chat, and email, still at 20 West Mall.
  • Site mix: Sheikh Zayed for the mall campus, Maadi Technology Park for other French CS and back-office ads.
  • Add-ons: Transport, paid training, medical insurance, and rotational or morning shifts depending on the account.

Those figures are offers, not average take-home, and they sit inside a market where C1 Spanish already clears EGP 35,000 on the job boards. A graduate with B2 French is not competing with Arabic-only agents on EGP 5,550. That person is competing with every other exporter that needs the same accent on a European account.

Who Else Is Buying French and Spanish?

Teleperformance, Concentrix, TTEC, Raya CX, and newer arrivals are hiring the same European-language agents IntouchCX wants, from Maadi to New Cairo, often in French, German, Spanish, and Dutch. The 400-seat round is a bid into that queue, not a market of its own.

U.S. firm InteLogix opened a New Cairo headquarters in September 2026 after buying local operator Athear, and said it would grow from 135 employees to 1,365 over three years. The languages on that plan include Arabic, Turkish, French, German, Spanish, and Portuguese. ITIDA chief executive Ahmed Elzaher used the opening to repeat the export tally and the multilingual pitch.

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly has called outsourcing “a promising sector for the national economy.” Communications minister Raafat Hindy has said the ministry wants sites beyond Cairo. IntouchCX has stayed inside Greater Cairo, with Giza’s Sheikh Zayed mall and Maadi’s technology park as the two pins it publishes.

Forbes has named the company among best employers for company culture, for women, and for diversity, and as an America’s Dream Employer. That is the recruiting wrapper. The constraint is still how many people in Cairo can take a French or Spanish queue at B2 or better, on rotational shifts, for a foreign brand.

The Dollar Hole in Arabic-Only Work

WUZZUF’s long view is why bilingual work holds its price. The median Arabic-only customer-service salary, in U.S. dollars, fell from about $192 a month in 2015 to $111 in 2025, a drop of roughly 40%. English-based customer-service pay held up better, from about $280 to $264, a decline of about 5%.

The board’s reading is simple. English and other foreign-language roles are tied to companies that earn in dollars. Arabic-only roles are tied to the local floor, which dropped with the pound. Inside English, B1 roles had a 2025 median of EGP 13,600, B2 EGP 15,600, and C1 EGP 17,500. Third languages sit above that ladder because fewer people qualify.

IntouchCX is hiring on the expensive side of that split. EGP 30,000 gross for French customer service is more than double the English median and more than five times the Arabic-only median. It is also a modest premium to the French median, which is what a late entrant pays when Teleperformance already has about 26,800 people in the country and Concentrix has 24,500.

Early October 2026 listings still sought bilingual French agents for Maadi and Sheikh Zayed, including that Maadi post with 25 open seats. The anniversary was the headline. The language market is the job, and it is not full.
