Infinix, a smartphone brand known for its affordable devices, is set to launch its latest flagship model, the Infinix Zero 30 5G, by the end of August 2023. The phone is expected to offer premium camera features at a low price, such as a 50 MP selfie camera and 4K 60FPS video recording.
A selfie-centric smartphone with a curved AMOLED display
The Infinix Zero 30 5G will sport a 50 MP front camera sensor that will be able to capture 4K videos at 60 frames per second. This is claimed to be the first time such a feature is available in this segment. The front camera will be placed in a centre-aligned hole-punch cutout on the top of the display.
The display itself will be a 60-degree curved 10-bit AMOLED panel with Gorilla Glass 5 protection on both sides. The phone will also have an IP53 rating for dust and splash resistance. The screen size, resolution, and refresh rate are not yet confirmed, but they are likely to be competitive with other flagship devices.
A powerful performance with MediaTek Dimensity 1100 SoC and virtual RAM
The Infinix Zero 30 5G will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1100 SoC, which is a 6nm octa-core processor with four Cortex-A78 cores and four Cortex-A55 cores. The chipset also supports dual 5G SIM cards, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.2.
The phone will come with 12 GB of RAM and virtual RAM support of up to 9 GB, which means that the user can have up to 21 GB of RAM by using the internal storage as additional memory. The phone will also have 256 GB of inbuilt storage, which is expandable via a microSD card slot.
The phone will run on Android 13-based XOS 13.1 interface, which is expected to offer a smooth and customisable user experience. The battery capacity and charging speed are not yet revealed, but they are likely to be impressive given the company’s previous offerings.
A quad rear camera setup with OIS and AI features
The Infinix Zero 30 5G will have a quad rear camera setup that will include a primary sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS) support. The other three sensors are not yet confirmed, but they could be an ultra-wide-angle lens, a telephoto lens, and a depth or macro lens.
The phone will also have AI features such as scene detection, night mode, portrait mode, and panorama mode. The phone will be able to record videos in various resolutions and frame rates, including 4K at 60 FPS.
A stylish design with glass and leather variants
The Infinix Zero 30 5G will come in two variants: a glass-back variant with Gorilla Glass 5 protection and a leather-finish variant. The glass-back variant will be available in Golden Hour and Fantasy Purple colours, while the leather-finish variant will be available in Rome Green colour.
The phone will have a rectangular camera module on the back with four sensors and an LED flash. The phone will also have a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a USB Type-C port. The phone’s dimensions and weight are not yet known, but they are expected to be ergonomic and comfortable.
The Infinix Zero 30 5G is expected to launch in India by the end of August 2023. The price and availability details are not yet announced, but they are expected to be competitive with other flagship devices in the market.
