Dell Unveils Its Most Powerful AMD Workstation with 96-Core CPU

Dell has announced its new Precision 7875 Tower, a workstation that features a 96-core AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro 7995WX processor. This is the most scalable and powerful AMD processor-based workstation ever from Dell, and it is designed for AI workloads, creative applications, and demanding professional tasks.

What Makes the Precision 7875 Tower So Fast?

The Precision 7875 Tower is powered by the AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro 7995WX processor, which was just launched by AMD today. This processor is based on the 5nm Zen 4 architecture, and it has the most cores of any single socket Dell Precision workstation. It also has up to 192 threads, up to 384MB of L3 cache, and support for eight channels of DDR5 memory.

The Ryzen Threadripper Pro 7995WX has a boost clock rate of 5.1 GHz, a 480MB cache, and a TDP of 350W. It is the first workstation processor to break the 100-core barrier, and it offers up to 2.7 times more performance than the previous generation Ryzen Threadripper Pro 5995WX.

How Does the Precision 7875 Tower Handle AI and Creative Workloads?

The Precision 7875 Tower is not only fast, but also flexible and reliable. It can handle a variety of AI functions, such as model training, generative AI, machine learning, and more. It can also support high-end creative applications, such as rendering, film production, design analysis, simulation, and architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) visualization.
