Vivo, a Chinese smartphone brand, is gearing up to launch a new Y series handset in India this month. The Vivo Y200 5G is expected to be a budget-friendly device with impressive features and design. The company has announced that the smartphone will be unveiled on October 23 at 12:00 PM during an online event.
Vivo Y200 5G: What We Know So Far
The Vivo Y200 5G will be the successor of the Vivo Y100 5G, which was launched in February this year. The company has created a dedicated microsite for the upcoming device, where it has teased some of its specifications and colour options.
According to the microsite, the Vivo Y200 5G will come in two colours: Desert Gold and Jungle Green. The phone will also have an Aura Light feature, which will create a glowing effect on the back panel. The phone will sport a rectangular camera module on the top left corner, housing a dual camera setup and an LED flash.
The Vivo Y200 5G is expected to feature a 6.67-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and thin bezels. The phone is likely to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chipset, which is designed for budget 5G smartphones. The phone is said to run on Android 13-based Funtouch OS 13 out of the box.
The phone is rumoured to come with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The battery capacity of the phone is said to be 4,800mAh, which will support 44W fast charging. The phone is also expected to have a fingerprint scanner under the display and a USB Type-C port.

The camera department of the Vivo Y200 5G is one of its highlights. The phone is said to offer a 64-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS) and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor for portrait shots. The main camera will be able to capture stunning photos and videos in various modes and scenarios.
The front camera of the phone is tipped to house a 16-megapixel sensor, which will enable selfies and video calls. The front camera will also support face unlock and beautification features.
