Samsung is gearing up to launch its latest fan edition smartphone, the Galaxy S23 FE, in the US market. The device is expected to offer flagship-level features at a more affordable price than the regular Galaxy S23 series. According to a recent report, the Galaxy S23 FE will be priced at $599 in the US, which is $100 cheaper than the Galaxy S21 FE and the Galaxy S20 FE. Moreover, it is $50 cheaper than the Galaxy S10 Lite, which was launched three years ago.
Galaxy S23 FE specifications and features
The Galaxy S23 FE is rumored to sport a 6.4-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x screen with Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and HDR10+. Under the hood, the device will pack either the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or Exynos 2200 SoC, depending on the region. It will have 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.
For photography, the device will feature a 50MP triple camera setup on the rear, consisting of a primary wide-angle lens, an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a telephoto lens. On the front, it will have a 10MP selfie camera housed in a punch-hole cutout. The device will also support 4K video recording at 60fps and super slow-motion video at 960fps.
The Galaxy S23 FE will be powered by a 4,500mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging and 15W wireless charging. It will also have an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance, an in-display fingerprint reader, stereo speakers, and Android 13 out of the box. It will also feature 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and USB Type-C port.
Galaxy S23 FE launch date and availability
The Galaxy S23 FE is expected to launch in early October 2023, along with other fan edition products from Samsung. The device will be available in four color options: graphite, white, lime, and purple. Some markets will also get two exclusive colors: navy and coral.
The device will compete with other mid-range smartphones such as the Pixel 7a, the iPhone SE (2023), and the OnePlus Nord N20. The Galaxy S23 FE will offer a premium design, a high-refresh-rate display, a powerful processor, and a versatile camera system at a lower price than its predecessors.
The Galaxy S23 FE will be a great option for Samsung fans who want to enjoy the flagship features without breaking the bank. The device will also help Samsung boost its sales and market share in the US and other regions.
