Pokémon Go welcomes Dusk Form Lycanroc in the Lustrous Odyssey event

Pokémon Go is kicking off the new year with a brand new event that celebrates the debut of Dusk Form Lycanroc, the Wolf Pokémon. The Lustrous Odyssey event will run from January 6 to January 10, 2024, and will feature various bonuses, raids, eggs, research, and more. Here is everything you need to know about this exciting event.

Dusk Form Lycanroc is a new form of Lycanroc that was introduced in the Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon games. It has a unique appearance and moveset that differs from the Midday Form and Midnight Form of Lycanroc. In Pokémon Go, Dusk Form Lycanroc will make its first appearance in the Lustrous Odyssey event.

To get Dusk Form Lycanroc, you will need to hatch or encounter a Rockruff that has a chance to evolve into Dusk Form Lycanroc. Not all Rockruff will be able to evolve into Dusk Form Lycanroc, so you will need to check their evolution screen before evolving them. You can find Rockruff in the wild, in 1-star raids, in 2 km and 7 km eggs, and as a reward from field research and special research tasks.

How to make the most of the Lustrous Odyssey event

The Lustrous Odyssey event is a great opportunity for Pokémon Go players to add some new and rare Pokémon to their collection, as well as to enjoy some bonuses and features. Here are some tips on how to make the most of the Lustrous Odyssey event:

  • Use berries or poffins to increase your buddy level and get more souvenirs and presents from your buddy Pokémon. Souvenirs are collectible items that have no gameplay effect, but can be displayed on your buddy profile. Presents are items that your buddy Pokémon will give you, such as Poké Balls, berries, potions, and revives.
  • Complete the Timeless Travels Special Research to get exclusive rewards and learn more about the story behind the event. You will also get to see some of the new Pokémon from the Hisui region, which will be featured in the upcoming Pokémon Legends: Arceus game.
  • Hatch as many eggs as possible to get a chance to hatch a Rockruff that can evolve into Dusk Form Lycanroc. You can use Super Incubators to speed up the hatching process, or purchase a Boost Box that contains Super Incubators and other items.
  • Battle in raids to encounter some of the new and rare Pokémon, such as Hisuian Braviary, Wyrdeer, Rockruff, and Hisuian Growlithe. You can use Remote Raid Passes to join raids from anywhere, or invite your friends to join you in raids. You may also find some shiny Pokémon in raids, such as Rockruff and Hisuian Growlithe.
  • Catch as many Pokémon as possible to increase your chances of finding Espeon and Umbreon in the wild. These are two of the evolutions of Eevee, and they are usually very hard to find in the wild. You can also use Pinap Berries to get more candy from catching Pokémon, which will help you evolve your Eevee into other forms, such as Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Leafeon, Glaceon, or Sylveon.

The Lustrous Odyssey event is a fun and exciting event for Pokémon Go players, and it will last for only a few days. Don’t miss this chance to get Dusk Form Lycanroc and other new and rare Pokémon, and to enjoy the bonuses and features of the event. Have fun and stay safe, trainers!
