Indian Motorcycle, America’s oldest and most revered motorcycle brand, has announced its 2024 lineup with two special editions that showcase its dominance and heritage. The FTR x 100% R Carbon and the Indian Challenger Elite are the highlights of the new model year, which also features a redesigned PowerBand Audio system and updates across the entire Indian Motorcycle lineup.
The FTR x 100% R Carbon is a collaboration between Indian Motorcycle and 100%, a leading eyewear and performance accessories brand. This limited-edition bike is based on the FTR R Carbon, the flagship of the FTR lineup, which offers a 1203 cc V-twin engine with 120 horsepower and 87 lb-ft of torque, Öhlins suspension, Brembo brakes, and a Ride Command system with a four-inch touchscreen.
The FTR x 100% R Carbon adds a stunning Blue Candy Carbon Fiber fuel tank, a titanium Akrapovic exhaust, and carbon fiber trim pieces to create a unique and eye-catching look. The bike also comes with a custom helmet, goggles, and gloves from 100%, as well as a certificate of authenticity. Only 100 units of the FTR x 100% R Carbon will be produced, making it a rare and exclusive bike for collectors and enthusiasts.
Indian Challenger Elite: A Premium Bagger with Smart Lean Technology
The Indian Challenger Elite is a new addition to the Indian Challenger lineup, which features a liquid-cooled Powerplus V-twin engine with 122 horsepower and 128 lb-ft of torque, a six-speed transmission, and a hydraulically adjustable Fox rear shock. The Indian Challenger Elite takes the performance and comfort of the Challenger to the next level with Smart Lean Technology, a system that uses a Bosch IMU to provide dynamic traction control, ABS, and drag torque control.
The Indian Challenger Elite also boasts a premium paint scheme with custom graphics, a 200-watt PowerBand Audio Plus system, a power windshield, heated grips, and a remote-locking trunk and saddlebags. The Indian Challenger Elite is available in two colors: Thunder Black Vivid Crystal and Slate Smoke.
PowerBand Audio: A New Sound System for Indian Motorcycle
The 2024 Indian Motorcycle lineup also features a completely redesigned PowerBand Audio system, which offers a crisp and clear sound quality for riders who enjoy listening to music on the road. The PowerBand Audio system is available in two options: PowerBand Audio and PowerBand Audio Plus. The PowerBand Audio option includes two 6.5-inch speakers in the fairing, while the PowerBand Audio Plus option adds two 6×9-inch speakers in the saddlebag lids and a 400-watt amplifier.
The PowerBand Audio system is compatible with the Ride Command system, which allows riders to control the music, navigation, phone, and bike settings through a touchscreen or voice commands. The Ride Command system also integrates with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as Bluetooth and USB devices.
Updates Across the Indian Motorcycle Lineup
The 2024 Indian Motorcycle lineup also includes updates and enhancements for the existing models, such as the Scout, the Chief, the Springfield, the Chieftain, and the Roadmaster. Some of the updates are:
