Flynas Expands Service with New Direct Flights Between Madinah and Sphinx Airport, Cairo

Flynas, Saudi Arabia’s low-cost airline, has announced the launch of three direct weekly flights between Prince Muhammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah and Sphinx Airport in Cairo, starting 11 December 2024.

  • Route Launch: The new flights will operate on Sunday, Wednesday, and Friday, providing greater connectivity between Madinah and Cairo.
  • Strategic Expansion: This move is part of flynas’s broader expansion strategy, aligning with the objectives of Saudi Arabia’s National Civil Aviation Strategy and Vision 2030 goals, which aim to enhance the Kingdom’s global connectivity, increase tourism, and support the Pilgrims Experience Program (PEP).
  • New Operations Hub: Flynas is also increasing the frequency of flights from its new operational base at Madinah Airport, further extending its flight network in line with Saudi Arabia’s aviation growth plans.

Flynas’s Ongoing Expansion:

Flynas currently operates more than 120 weekly flights between five Saudi cities (Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Madinah, and Al-Ula) and several Egyptian destinations, including Cairo, Sohag, Sharm El-Sheikh, Hurghada, and El Alamein. The airline is committed to growing its network, with a target of flying to 165 destinations in the coming years.

Flynas has flown over 80 million passengers since its inception in 2007, and with the new routes, it aims to further contribute to the Kingdom’s goals of accommodating 330 million passengers and welcoming 150 million tourists annually by 2030.

Flynas in Egypt:

Flynas currently connects Cairo International Airport and Sphinx International Airport to Saudi Arabia with direct flights from Riyadh, Jeddah, and soon from Madinah. The airline’s growth in the Egyptian market is in line with its long-term strategy to increase travel options for passengers between Egypt and Saudi Arabia.

Flynas’s new direct flights between Madinah and Cairo mark an important step in its expansion efforts. The move not only enhances connectivity between the two cities but also aligns with Saudi Arabia’s ambitious Vision 2030 aviation goals, making it easier for pilgrims and tourists to travel between the Kingdom and Egypt.
