Motorola is gearing up to launch its next-generation Moto G series smartphone, the Moto G54. The device has been spotted in several leaks and rumors, revealing its design, specifications, and features. Here is everything we know so far about the Moto G54, which is expected to be a global version of the Redmi K60 Ultra.
Design and display
The Moto G54 will sport a 6.5-inch FHD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a center-aligned punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. The screen will have thin bezels and a slight chin at the bottom. The back panel of the phone will feature a rectangular camera module with four sensors and an LED flash. The Moto G54 will also have a side-mounted fingerprint scanner embedded in the power button, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a USB Type-C port, and a speaker grille at the bottom.
The Moto G54 will come in four color options: Ballad Blue, Coronet Blue, Ambrosia, and Outer Space. These are Pantone color names, as Motorola has an ongoing partnership with Pantone. The leaked press renders of the phone show three of these colors, except for Ballad Blue.
Camera and performance
The Moto G54 will boast a 50MP main rear camera, along with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. The camera setup will support features like HDR, night mode, portrait mode, panorama, and more. The front-facing camera will be a 16MP shooter for selfies and video calls.
The Moto G54 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset, which is a 5G-enabled processor with eight cores and Adreno 642L GPU. The phone will have up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage, which can be expanded via a microSD card slot. The phone will run on Android 14-based MIUI 14 out of the box.
Battery and connectivity
The Moto G54 will pack a 5,000mAh battery that will support fast charging via the USB Type-C port. The phone will also have wireless charging and reverse wireless charging capabilities. The phone will offer dual-SIM support, 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, GPS, and more as connectivity options.
Price and availability
The Moto G54 has not been officially announced by Motorola yet, but it is expected to launch soon in global markets. The phone is likely to be priced around $400-$500, depending on the configuration and region. The phone will compete with other mid-range smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy A54, OnePlus Ace 2 Pro, and Realme C53.
