The Miss Universe Egypt 2023 competition aired on Monday evening, showcasing the beauty and talent of 20 contestants from different regions of the country. The event, which was held at the Cairo Opera House, was broadcast live on ON E channel and streamed online on the official Miss Universe Egypt website.
A night of glamour and grace
The contestants dazzled the audience and the judges with their stunning outfits, ranging from traditional Egyptian dresses to modern evening gowns. They also showcased their skills and personalities in various segments, such as the swimsuit round, the talent show, and the question and answer session.
The judges panel consisted of prominent figures from different fields, such as fashion designer Hany El Behairy, actress Yousra, singer Angham, journalist Lamis Elhadidy, and former Miss Universe Egypt Farah Sedky. They evaluated the contestants based on their beauty, intelligence, charisma, and social impact.

The crowning moment
After a fierce competition, the judges announced the top five finalists: Nourhan Adel, Nouran Elsayed, Nouran Elshazly, Nada Elshazly, and Nourhan Elsayed. They each faced one final question from the host, actor Ahmed Fahmy, who asked them about their views on various topics, such as women empowerment, social media, and global issues.
The final results were then revealed by Fahmy and co-host Sherine Reda. Nourhan Adel was crowned as Miss Universe Egypt 2023, receiving the crown from her predecessor Menatalla Moustafa. Nouran Elsayed was named as the first runner-up, while Nouran Elshazly was the second runner-up. Nada Elshazly and Nourhan Elsayed were the third and fourth runners-up respectively.
Nourhan Adel, a 23-year-old medical student from Cairo, expressed her joy and gratitude for winning the title. She said that she was proud to represent Egypt in the international stage and hoped to make a positive difference in the world. Looking forward to Miss Universe 2023
As the winner of Miss Universe Egypt 2023, Nourhan Adel will represent Egypt in the Miss Universe 2023 pageant, which will be held in El Salvador in November 2023. She will compete with more than 90 contestants from around the world for the coveted crown and title.
Egypt has been participating in the Miss Universe pageant since 1954, but has never won the crown. The highest placement for Egypt was in 1987, when Hoda Abboud reached the top 10. The last time Egypt competed in Miss Universe was in 2019, when Diana Hamed made it to the top 20.
Nourhan Adel said that she was excited and honored to represent her country in Miss Universe 2023.
