Garmin, a leading brand in wearable technology, has unveiled its new MARQ Carbon Collection, a range of luxury smartwatches that combine modern design and functionality. The collection includes the MARQ Athlete, MARQ Golfer, and MARQ Commander, all made from 130 layers of Fused Carbon Fiber, a material that is lighter and stronger than titanium.

What is Fused Carbon Fiber?

Fused Carbon Fiber is an innovative material that Garmin says has been “decades in the making”. It is made up of 130 carbon fiber layers that are carefully rotated during production to maintain the housing’s tensile strength. The middle case and bezel of the MARQ Carbon series are crafted from Fused Carbon Fiber, while grade 5 titanium with a sleek black DLC finish is used for the buttons, outer bezel ring, and case back.

What are the features of the MARQ Carbon Collection?

The MARQ Carbon Collection shares the same specs as the standard MARQ 2 series, including a 46mm case size and a 1.2-inch AMOLED display. These smartwatches boast up to six days of battery life and offer various features for different lifestyles and activities.

It comes with Garmin’s HRM-Pro Plus chest strap heart rate monitor for precise biometrics and advanced running dynamics.
