The Insta360 Ace Pro is the first action camera to feature a Type 1/1.3-inch image sensor, which is larger than most smartphones and compact cameras. This allows the Ace Pro to capture more light and detail, especially in low-light scenarios. The Ace Pro can record video at up to 8K at 24 frames per second (fps), 4K at 120 fps, and capture 48-megapixel photos.
The Ace Pro also incorporates a powerful 5nm AI chip, which enhances the sensor’s capabilities and reduces noise. The AI chip enables features such as PureVideo, which applies advanced AI noise reduction and improved dynamic range to low-light videos, and Active HDR, which combines multiple exposures to create vibrant and balanced images.

The Ace Pro features a Leica SUMMARIT lens, which offers a 16mm equivalent focal length and an f/2.6 aperture.
