GTA 6 confirmed for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, PC version still uncertain

Rockstar Games has finally announced the long-awaited GTA 6, the next installment in the popular Grand Theft Auto series. The game will be released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, but there is no word on a PC version yet.

The first GTA 6 trailer will be released on Tuesday, December 5 at 9 a.m. ET, according to a tweet from Rockstar Games. The tweet only showed an image of palm trees and a sunset, hinting at a possible return to Vice City, the fictional version of Miami that was featured in GTA: Vice City and GTA: Vice City Stories. The trailer will be released just before The Game Awards, which has become a go-to destination for big-name reveals. This year’s show airs on December 7.

GTA 6 release date expected in 2024 or 2025

A release date for GTA 6 has not been confirmed by Rockstar Games, but some sources suggest that it will not be coming out until 2024 or 2025. One of the reasons for the delay is the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, which has affected the development process and the working conditions of the staff. Another reason is that Rockstar Games wants to avoid the crunch culture and the backlash that it faced with the release of Red Dead Redemption 2, which was criticized for its long working hours and poor management.

According to Tom Henderson, a tipster known for his accurate leaks on Battlefield and Warzone, GTA 6 will be set in a modern-day Vice City, and will feature two protagonists, one male and one female. The male protagonist is named Jason, and the female protagonist is a Latina named Lucia. The game will also have a dynamic map that will change over time, similar to the battle royale games like Fortnite and Apex Legends.

GTA 6 PC version still unclear

While GTA 6 will be available on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, there is no confirmation on whether it will also be released on PC. Rockstar Games has a history of delaying the PC versions of its games, such as GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2, which were released on PC at least a year after their console debut. However, given the popularity and profitability of the PC platform, especially with the GTA Online mode, it is likely that GTA 6 will eventually come to PC, but probably not at launch.

GTA 6 will also have a GTA Online mode, which may be called GTA Online 2, according to some rumors. GTA Online is the multiplayer component of GTA 5, which has been constantly updated with new content and features since its launch in 2013. GTA Online 2 will likely be a separate entity from GTA Online, and will have its own map, missions, characters, and activities.

GTA 6 is one of the most anticipated games of the decade, and fans are eagerly waiting for more details from Rockstar Games. The game will be a huge leap forward for the Grand Theft Auto series, and will offer a new and immersive experience for the players.
