Eddy Gordo Returns to Tekken 8 as the First DLC Character

The capoeira master Eddy Gordo is back in action as the first DLC character for Tekken 8, the latest installment of the popular fighting game series. Bandai Namco announced the news in a video that also showcased the game’s opening movie, which features a clash between the Mishima family and the mysterious entity known as the Dark.

Eddy Gordo made his debut in Tekken 3, where he was introduced as a Brazilian fighter who learned capoeira in prison. He entered the King of Iron Fist Tournament to seek revenge for his father’s death, who was killed by a drug cartel. Eddy has since appeared in every main Tekken game, except for Tekken 8’s base roster.

Eddy is known for his flashy and fluid fighting style, which involves a lot of spinning kicks, flips, and acrobatic moves. He is also one of the most accessible characters for beginners, as he can perform many combos by simply pressing the kick buttons. However, he also has a high skill ceiling for advanced players, who can utilize his stance transitions, mix-ups, and evasive maneuvers.
