On Friday afternoon, a robbery at an Antelope KFC restaurant turned into a shooting that left three employees injured. The incident happened at the restaurant near Elverta Road and Watt Avenue in Sacramento County.
According to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, a suspect entered the store and demanded money from the cash register. The suspect then jumped on the counter and fired at least three shots, hitting three of the KFC’s employees. The suspect fled the scene without taking any money.
The sheriff’s office said that all the injuries were non-life-threatening and the employees were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The motive for the shooting is still unknown.

Deputies Searching for Three Associated Suspects
The sheriff’s office said that they are looking for three suspects who are believed to be involved in the robbery shooting. One of them is the shooter who ran from the scene on foot, and the other two are his accomplices who drove away in a light blue Honda.
The sheriff’s office released a description of the shooter as a black male, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, wearing a black hoodie, black pants, and a black mask. The description of the other two suspects and the Honda is not available yet.

KFC Restaurant Closed for Investigation
The KFC restaurant where the shooting occurred was closed for the rest of the day as deputies conducted an investigation. The restaurant’s manager said that he was shocked and saddened by what happened and hoped that the employees would recover soon.
The manager also said that he was grateful for the quick response of the deputies and the paramedics who arrived at the scene. He said that he would cooperate with the authorities to help them catch the suspects.
The manager did not say when the restaurant would reopen, but he said that he would provide counseling and support for his staff.
