SAUDI EXPORTS Partners with Al Nahdi to Promote Saudi-Made Products

The Saudi Export Development Authority (SAUDI EXPORTS) has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Al Nahdi Medical Company to promote Saudi-made products. This partnership, facilitated through the ‘Made in Saudi’ program, aims to support national products and expand their reach within Al Nahdi’s extensive network of pharmacies. The initiative is a significant step towards enhancing the visibility and accessibility of high-quality, locally manufactured health and medical supplies, contributing to the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 goals.

Launch of Saudi-Made Shelves

As part of the MoU, Al Nahdi pharmacies will introduce dedicated shelves branded as “Saudi-Made,” showcasing a variety of locally produced health and medical supplies. This initiative is designed to encourage consumers to choose Saudi-made products, highlighting their quality and competitive strength. The launch of these shelves marks a milestone in promoting national products and supporting local manufacturers.

Eng. Abdulrahman Althukair, CEO of SAUDI EXPORTS, emphasized the importance of this collaboration, stating, “This strategic partnership aligns with our commitment to fostering effective partnerships with both the public and private sectors. It serves the objectives of enhancing the position of Saudi products and facilitating their access to consumers in local and international markets”. The dedicated shelves will not only boost the visibility of Saudi-made products but also raise consumer awareness about their benefits.

The introduction of these shelves is expected to drive consumer preference for local products, thereby supporting the growth of Saudi exports globally. By making high-quality national products more accessible, the initiative aims to strengthen the local economy and promote sustainable development.

Supporting Economic Diversification

The partnership between SAUDI EXPORTS and Al Nahdi is a key component of Saudi Arabia’s broader strategy to diversify its economy. By localizing the production of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies, the initiative will reduce dependency on imported goods and create job opportunities within the Kingdom. This aligns with the goals of Vision 2030, which seeks to build a more resilient and diversified economy.

Eng. Yasser Joharji, CEO of Al Nahdi Medical Company, expressed his pride in the partnership, stating, “We are committed to reinforcing trust in our national capabilities and enabling Saudi products to compete globally. This collaboration will significantly contribute to the localization of pharmaceutical industries and medical supplies”. The MoU marks the beginning of several national projects aimed at fostering the growth of local industries and enhancing their competitiveness.

In addition to promoting local products, the partnership will involve training and workshops on the ‘Made in Saudi’ program. These educational initiatives will help raise awareness about the quality and value of Saudi-made products, encouraging more consumers to support local manufacturers.

Future Initiatives and Impact

The signing of the MoU is just the beginning of a series of initiatives aimed at promoting Saudi-made products. SAUDI EXPORTS and Al Nahdi plan to participate in exhibitions and events to further raise awareness and showcase the quality of national products. These efforts will help build a strong brand identity for Saudi-made products, both domestically and internationally.

The partnership is expected to have a significant impact on the healthcare sector, with increased distribution of locally manufactured health and medical supplies. This will not only benefit consumers by providing them with high-quality products but also support the local economy by creating jobs and fostering innovation.

In conclusion, the partnership between SAUDI EXPORTS and Al Nahdi represents a significant step towards promoting Saudi-made products and supporting economic diversification. By enhancing the visibility and accessibility of national products, the initiative will contribute to the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 goals and drive sustainable development.
